Few players are capable of creating and scoring goals with the calmness and elegance of Manchester United’s Dimitar Berbatov. The Bulgarian striker has scored 11 goals with 9 assists since joining United making him the most creative player in the English Premier League this season. Berbatov states, “I watch games and see guys who panic on the ball. They look so nervous on the ball.” His incessant drive for technical perfection allows him to be calm under pressure and deliver moments of creative brilliance on the field. “If it’s near perfection, I suppose I’m happy.” States Berbatov.

Children naturally learn by imitating and emulating the skills of the world’s top creative players. Cristiano Ronaldo, the incredibly gifted and creative Portugal winger of Manchester United, recently celebrated his European player of the year award with former Manchester United winners Denis Law and Bobby Charlton. “When I go out in the back garden all my grandson wants to be is Ronaldo, with all the stepovers and tricks, Charlton said. “All kids do it because people love players who do something special…it is not bad for the game that kids are emulating skill like that.”
