G.U.S.C. Creative Player Summer Academy

The G.U.S.C. Creative Player Summer Academy is a cooperative partnership between Gaston United Soccer Club and Creative Player Soccer Learning Center and is for G.U.S.C. members only.  The academy session will meet once a week during the months of June and July at CPSLC and focus on the age-appropriate technical and tactical elements of Creative Player DMAC Futbol, featuring dynamic movement and coordination for the modern game.  This is a “Time for Technique” for developing young soccer players between the ages of 8 -12.  Each session will challenge players to master coordination movements both with and without the ball as it relates to the technical aspects of dribbling and conduction, passing and receiving, shooting and finishing, and speed and agility.  Each session will also include competitive small-sided games where modern principles of play will be taught in relationship to today’s real game. Each session will be led by Creative Player Technical Directors Daniel Araujo and John Pietak in cooperation with GUSC’s coaching staff.
